59: 𝐻𝑎𝑙𝑓 ℎ𝑜𝑡... ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑓 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑑
Half hot half cold.
That's what Todoroki's quirk was supposed to be. Split in two, straight down the middle.
His quirk was half hot. That's all. At least that's all he was born with. His other quirk was frost. His mother's quirk. Because of one for all and the pact he made in his youth he had not one... But two quirks.
His mother was quirkless, but that was a secret she had been willing to hide.
Todoroki coated his body in ice. Using his heat quirk just enough to keep himself from freezing to death.
The problem with his quirk not truly being his own. He couldn't stand the cold nearly as much as he should be able to. Good thing half hot balanced things out.
His whole life he only used Frost on his right side. As he was trained to do. Endeavor didn't know, the doctors didn't know. As far as they were concerned he miraculously Developed his quirk fully. They didn't question it much.
Neither did his teachers when they saw his papers. With his appearance it was easy to believe. Half cold half hot.
He was all cold. Down to his heart of ice.
Shoto could vaguely see the forms of his classmates through his ice. Though it was hard. Hard to do anything as he hid and waited for the right moment.

"CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" Bakugou yelled with a glare at everyone.
"I'm sorry but you all need to stay back." Naomosa said, putting his hand up.
"Why are you guys pointing guns at Todoroki?!" Uraraka grabbed Midoriya's sleeve. "Deku what's going on? We're his classmates we deserve to kn-"
The ice that held Todoroki shot into the air. A tower of ice growing higher and higher. They had never seen him control his quirk like this before. It almost looked impenetrable.
"SHIT! CEMENTOS! CAN YOU STOP HIM?!" Naomosa asked, stepping back from the base of the tower. That twisted around itself.
"HES TOO HIGH!!" CEMENTOS said, pushing concrete up after him. But Todoroki's ice was lighter and faster.
Deku's eyes widened. And Blackwhip activated. He'd have to act, with or without permission. He couldn't let Todoroki get away.
If only he had heat-
Midoriya turned to his classmate. Then he tore away from Uraraka and grabbed Bakugou by the collar. "KACCHAN!!"
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Bakugou yelled. The crunching and groaning of the ice tower causing him to shout. That and his angry confusion.
"TODOROKI IS A MEMBER OF THE LEAGUE OF VILLAINS. HE KIDNAPPED KIRA!!!" Izuku shouted back.
Everything stopped. Bakugou didn't even seem to be breathing. Their classmates stared at him in shock, their arguing coming to a complete halt.
There was silence.
BANG
Midoriya cried out as Bakugou tore away from him. Setting off a huge explosion. Not caring if Izuku got caught in it.
He was launched into the air with the power of a rocket, catching up to Todoroki in seconds. Midoriya's eyes widened and Aizawa's called out to Bakugou. Obviously going unheard.
Midoriya jumped and activated his quirk. Following Bakugou as quickly as he could. He knew they would probably have to work together for this. But he also expected Bakugou to do most of it.
He knew the rage his friend felt over this. Midoriya told him because he knew it would get this type of reaction. Rage.
That's what they needed. Izuku knew that. Izuku would hesitate. Naomosa would hesitate. Aizawa would hesitate and so would the other teachers. So would their classmates.
But Bakugou Katsuki wouldn't.
Not with this new information. He didn't need Midoriya to help take him down. Midoriya was following...
To make sure Todoroki didn't die.

"DIE!!!!!"
Bakugou screamed, he blasted into the ice. Melting and shattering it easily. Unfortunately Todoroki kept on creating more and more. But Bakugou created more and more explosions.
Todoroki's fear rivaled Bakugou's rage.
But in the end it couldn't compare.
The last layer of ice shattered. "IM GONNA KILL YOU. I FUCKING SWEAR YOU'RE GONNA DIE." Bakugou yelled. His voice sounded like something else entirely. It wasn't like how he acted in training. How he would yell 'Die die die'
No this was serious. He actually wanted to kill Todoroki.
"KACCHAN!!" Midoriya said, catching up with them.
Bakugou pryed Todoroki from the ice. Hands around his throat. His red eyes looked like they could be glowing. His anger almost supernatural.
"You're gonna regret the fact that you were fucking born you bastard." Bakugou hissed. Still just as angry.
"KACCHAN!!!" Midoriya yelled again. Using Blackwhip to hold onto the tower of ice. Taller than all the buildings around them. At the top there was only room for Bakugou and Todoroki.
"I already do-" Todoroki whispered. But Bakugou wasn't interested in his trauma.
He bashed Todoroki's head against the ice with a yell, tightening his hands around his throat until Todoroki could no longer speak. "I'm gonna fucking kill you. And I'm gonna do it as slowly as I can while you tell me exactly where Kira is." Bakugou growled.
"I don't..." Todoroki wheezed. "I don't know-"
"CUT THE BULLSHIT!!!!! WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?! YOU BASTARD. WHERE IS KIRA?!" Bakugou asked. Quirk going off against the skin of Todoroki's neck. Todoroki grunted but he was used to pain. He wouldn't scream.
"I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!!" Todoroki yelled to him.
Bakugou swung him around by his throat. Shoving him into his stomach and forcing him to hang. Only able to see how far up he is. "BULLSHIT!!! You disgusting fucking bastard. How long were you planning that huh?!"
"Wha-" He was cut off when Bakugou kicked him in the side.
"I SAW YOU STARING AT HER. ALL THE TIME YOU WERE WATCHING HER LIKE A FUCKING CREEP. I thought you just had a pathetic crush. But now I get it..." Bakugou pressed his boot on Todoroki's neck. "YOU'RE A FUCKING VILLAIN. MAYBE YOU WERE PLANNING ON KILLING HER!!! You sick bastard..."
Bakugou shifted from whispering to screaming randomly. He screamed so loud that his lungs threatened to burst. So loud the people on the ground could almost hear him.
"KATSUKI STOP!!" Midoriya begged. Trying to climb up. For the first time since childhood he used Bakugou's actual name. It sounded foreign and wrong... But also right in a way. He was doing anything he could to get Bakugou's attention.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING TRY TO STOP ME DEKU." Bakugou snapped. Eyes never leaving Todoroki.
"KATSUKI THINK!! We'll never learn anything from him if you hurt him too badly!" Midoriya pleaded. "You did it. You won. Now you need to take him back down before you get in trouble-"
"I DON'T CARE IF I GET IN TROUBLE!!! I'm not gonna let them take him to some cushy prison and let him sit there until his daddy picks him up and pays his bail. I'm going to make him suffer."
"You will not."
Bakugou felt his quirk leave him and he spun around. Aizawa was there. He had something around his foot and he was floating.
Midoriya's eyes widened. Uraraka and Seros quirks. They helped him get up here, Uraraka making him float and Sero's tape stopping him from going too far.
"Bakugou back down. That's an order." Aizawa said seriously, eyes glowing red. Bakugou didn't look at him. Staring at Todoroki. Aizawa was looking at both of them however. Blocking their quirks.
"Is this what Kira would want? This isn't right and you know it. Thank you for catching him... But we can take care of this now."
Bakugou glared into the back of Todoroki's head.
"We're the heroes Kacchan..." Midoriya whispered. "We're supposed to be better..."
Bakugou just stared at him. Not moving. The anger in his eyes didn't leave, they sat there for a few minutes. No one saying anything until Bakugou finally spoke.
"Why..." He whispered. Voice breaking. "Why did you do it to her?..." Tears streamed down his face. But his expression didn't change. His face solid as if he was made of stone. "What... Did she ever do to you?"
Todoroki stared down. Bakugou's boot pressing against his back. He looked at the ground below, at the classmates staring up at him. His tears fell down to them.
"...nothing."
